English-English Dictionary and Thesaurus for iPhone and iPod Touch

LexicEN is a fast, offline dictionary that features:

◆ A database of more than 150.000 words with definition, pronunciation, example sentences, synonyms, antonyms and similar words.

◆ Incremental Search - The results are updated as you type.

◆ Interactive Text - Tap on any word to look it up immediately.

◆ History - Access any of the last 50 words that where looked up with one tap. Browse forward and backward in your search history.

◆ Customizable Favorites - Create categories for your favorites to organize your bookmarked words.

◆ Pronunciation Examples - Tap on the pronunciation of a word to see examples of all symbols used (IPA Notation).
◆ Offline Data - No internet connection required.

How to Use

▪ Search: In the result view tap the Star on the top right to bookmark the word. Tapping the Pronounciation will show an explanation of symbols. Tap any word to look it up immediately.

▪ History: Tap on the i-button in the top-right corner for instructions and settings.

▪ Favorites: Tap on the + button on the upper right to add a new category for organizing your favorites. When bookmarking a word one of the created categories can be selected. The 'All Favorites' category contains all words of the subcategories.

Note:

In the tab 'History' the settings menu and user manual can be accessed by tapping the i-button in the top-right corner.
